A NEW DAWN

Macau entering a new era

Macau is fast entering a new era of spectacular growth and prosperity, triggered first by the
liberalization of its gaming industry, and bolstered by the Government’s renewed efforts to
develop its tourism sector.

For several years now Macau has enjoyed double-digit annual growths in both its gross
domestic product and number of visitors. Investments are pouring in, and so are tourists lured by Macau’s charms of old and new.

Parallel to its development in tourism, the former Portuguese enclave’s real estate market has boomed in recent years, registering unheard-of growths that saw prices for homes soar to historic new heights.

With the acquisition of the UNESCO World Heritage title, Macau is poised to kick start a new phase of development, in which its tourism industry is no longer solely dependent on the neon-lit and the flamboyant.

This ongoing development has also created new opportunities for real estate investors and developers, as the newly crowned World Heritage cultural monuments and the adjacent areas are being transformed into new tourist hotspots.

The golden dawn is as promising as it is enchanting.
